About Surgery After a Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Surgery is just one of the treatment options for breast cancer. Some early-stage breast cancers can be removed through a lumpectomy, a procedure to remove the lump and/or cancerous tissue in the breast. If surgery is the most viable option for your diagnosis, your oncologist will discuss this with you. At Southwest General, we also offer reconstructive surgery to help patients move forward after breast cancer treatment.

Dedicated to Providing Compassionate Care

Using advanced technology and techniques, the board-certified physicians on our breast care team perform lumpectomies and reconstructive surgeries while coordinating care with each patient's primary care provider and oncologist. Our goal is to see you thrive after surgery, and our team is committed to caring for each patient with sensitivity and compassion. We are there for our patients through the entire process to:

  • Make sure they understand and feel comfortable with your treatment.
  • Help them decide on a reconstructive surgical option that aligns with their goals.
  • Ensure their treatment will restore confidence and help them feel whole again.
